 What is your motivation to China ? 

1.It was important for me to learn where the martial art originated and has a tradition. My motivation was to fulfill a teenage dream, to take time for my physical fitness and flexibility and to get to know the chinese discipline, for which China is famous.

2.As I was only at the martial arts school for 3 weeks, I was only able to learn the absolute basics of Shaolin Kung fu, Tai Chi and Sanda. However, I learned a complete form in Shaolin and Tai Chi. The greatest gain, however, was that I noticed that my strength and flexibility increased fast from week to week. 

Masters: 

3.Master Zhang (Shaolin Master) had a positive influence on me here. He has strictness, but he doesn't need it because he is so kind and supportive that you don't want to disappoint him. All the students and translators are helpful and friendly and I had many good conversations during training and meals. Daily life 4.I got up at 5.30 am every day to attend the Tai Chi class at 6 am. After breakfast, all the students clean the school every day. We train in the morning (2,5 h) and afternoon (2 h). As there is no fridge in the rooms, we go to the local supermarket almost every day (a 5-minute walk). The optional classes currently take place on 3 days after dinner. On Friday afternoons, everyone walks to the temple to train. On weekends, students can visit other cities, such as Yantai city, with the master's permission. 

The surroundings

 5.The surroundings are really great! After a weekend in Yantai or a morning in Muping, it is a relief to return to these beautiful surroundings.
